Stroke SIG Membership


We have many opportunities for our members to get involved in the SIG - come join our bimonthly all-membership meetings to learn about what's going on the SIG, and for available volunteer positions! These all-membership meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of every other month from 7:30 to 8:30 PM EST with the following dates for this year:

Volunteers review about one article per quarter, with about two hours of work per article. Please email if you are interested!


2024: Social Media Assistance

Looking for volunteers to assist the Stroke SIG social media chair to create content and manage social media platforms! Time commitment: ~30 minutes each week, can fluctuate as necessary (flexible with clinician and student schedules)


2024: Podcast Assistance

The Stroke SIG Podcast Team is looking for volunteers to assist with question writing and/or podcast editing! This role will take around 30 minutes/week on average, but will fluctuate. Join our fun team and assist in developing educational content for the Stroke SIG!



The Stroke SIG is proud of our members and the contributions they make both to the profession and the patients we serve. Please help us identify individuals who are exceptional in stroke research and service to the Stroke SIG.

  • Nominations are open May 1- August 1 each year.
  • The ANPT Awards Committee does not carry nominations from the previous year over to the next so new submissions are needed each year.
  • ANPT Partner Members are not eligible for ANPT Awards.

Stroke SIG Service Award

The Stroke SIG Service Award acknowledges a member of the SIG who goes above and beyond though volunteer contributions to the SIG and its efforts.

The NEW Stroke SIG Research Award recognizes a member of the Stroke SIG who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the body of research representative of the population the SIG serves.
