Highlights of Early Career Professional Award Winner

Congratulations to Early Career Professional Award Winner Lily Jimenez.  She currently has multiple roles at the University of Texas at El Paso: inpatient rehabilitation facility, Multidisciplinary ALS clinic, and part-time PT Core Faculty.

Her first job after residency did not involve many clients for neurologic intervention.  So, to fill the “neuro gap”, she created her own opportunity to learn and be involved via creation of a social media page “The Brain PT”.  On this page, she shared “neuro love and education with fellow therapists, students, and other rehab professionals”.

With her current role as a new PT educator, she has used the ANPT education compendium to be great for lesson plans and resources.  Lily states she learns many new things via these resources.  She also advocates to use the podcasts offered by the SIG’s.  The podcasts are “such a fantastic way to learn neuro PT on the go!”

Congratulations Lily – your passion for our profession shows.
