Call for Neurology Fellowship Model Curriculum Task Force

Driven by one of the items in the current strategic plan, the ANPT Board of Directors has approved development of a Task Force to develop a model curriculum document and resources for neurology fellowships. We are seeking ANPT members interested in being a part of a task force to aid in the development of the model curriculum and/or resources. The purpose of the task force is to develop resources and/or model curricular framework for neurology fellowships.

Expectations for the taskforce include:

  1. Obtaining and analyzing feedback from ANPT members who are involved or interested in neurology fellowship curriculum
  2. Development of a fellowship model curriculum and or resources to support such fellowships. Findings would then be presented to the ANPT Board of Directors for final approval.

The time commitment for serving on the task force is approximately 1 year. The task force will be comprised of individuals with certification or significant experience in neurologic physical therapy and familiarity with residency or fellowship curriculum and training.

ANPT members with some of the following characteristics will be considered for the task force:

  • PTs who are interested in neurologic fellowship training, with experience in areas of either clinical care, academic settings and research
  • PTs who have been involved in development of residency or fellowship curriculum.
  • PTs with Neurologic Clinical Specialist certification
  • PT educators with interest in neurologic specialty education

Responsibilities of the task force include:

  • Disclosure of conflict of interest
  • Participation in all conference calls/meetings with a commitment to teamwork and clear communication
  • Reading all relevant material and doing all necessary background work to fully participate in the process
  • Responding to e-mail communications in a timely fashion, completing all personal assignments to meet deadlines
  • Maintaining confidentiality
